Description
Description:
Alerid Syrup is used in children to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions such as watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itching, hives (urticaria), conjunctivitis, and the common cold.
Administer this medicine orally with or without food as prescribed by your child’s doctor. It may be given alone or in combination with other medications. Allergic symptoms often improve after a few doses, but in severe cases, treatment may continue for one to two weeks. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the syrup, you can repeat the dose once your child feels better—unless the next scheduled dose is near.
Common mild side effects include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, and headache, which usually resolve on their own. However, consult a doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen.
Before starting treatment, inform the doctor if your child:
Is taking any other medications or has allergies to medicines, foods, or products.
Has or had heart, liver, or kidney issues or was born prematurely.
Has a history of bowel obstruction, malnutrition, weight-related concerns, or thyroid problems.
Providing a detailed medical history will help ensure safe and effective treatment for your child.
