Glimepiride (2mg) + Metformin (500mg)
Description:
Amaryl M 2mg Tablet PR is an anti-diabetic medicine that combines two drugs to help manage type 2 diabetes in adults by controlling blood sugar levels. It should be taken with food at the same time each day for maximum benefit, as prescribed by your doctor. Even if your blood sugar levels are controlled, continue taking the medication to prevent complications such as kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and limb loss. Managing diabetes also requires a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight control.
The most common side effect is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), with symptoms like sweating, dizziness, headache, and shaking. To prevent this, have regular meals and keep a fast-acting glucose source handy. Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia and should be avoided. Other possible side effects include taste changes, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and upper respiratory tract infections. Some individuals may experience weight gain while using this medication.
