Amlovas-M 2.5/25 Tablet PR contains two medicines that help control high blood pressure and heart rate. It is also used to treat heart-related chest pain (angina), abnormal heart rhythms, and chronic heart failure. You can take this medicine at any time of the day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Continue taking it as advised by your doctor, even if you feel well, as stopping it suddenly may worsen your condition. Maintaining an active lifestyle with regular exercise, a healthy diet, and weight management will also help control blood pressure.

Common side effects include headache, ankle swelling, skin rash, slow heart rate, nausea, and depression. It may also cause dizziness, so avoid driving or activities that require mental focus until you know how the medicine affects you. This medication may increase potassium levels in the blood, so it is advisable to avoid potassium-rich foods or supplements. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels may be required during treatment.
