The dose will depend on your condition and response to the treatment. Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body. It contains a diuretic (water pill) that increases urination, so it is best to avoid taking it within four hours of bedtime. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it, even if you feel well. Since high blood pressure often has no symptoms, stopping the medication without your doctor’s advice may increase your risk of heart attack or stroke.

The most common side effects of this medicine include ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, tiredness, and taste changes.
