Amtas 10 Tablet is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and prevent angina (heart-related chest pain). By relaxing blood vessels, it lowers blood pressure and reduces the heart’s workload, helping to prevent heart attacks and strokes. This medication may be prescribed alone or in combination with other medicines, depending on the severity of your condition. It can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time daily.

To ensure effectiveness, continue taking it as prescribed, even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly may worsen your condition. Maintaining an active lifestyle, managing weight, and following a healthy diet can further help control blood pressure. Common side effects include headache, edema, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, and drowsiness. If any of these persist or cause concern, consult your doctor for advice. Some patients have reported lichenoid keratosis (a benign, inflamed skin lesion) while taking this medicine—inform your doctor if you notice such symptoms.
