Description:

Augpen-DS Suspension is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is effective against bacteria that have developed resistance to other treatments and can also help manage drug-resistant tuberculosis.

You can administer Augpen-DS Suspension to your child with or without food, but giving it with food helps improve absorption and reduces the risk of stomach upset. The doctor may recommend giving it two to three times a day, depending on the severity and type of infection, as well as your child’s weight and age. Follow the prescribed dosage and schedule strictly. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, let them settle and then repeat the dose. However, do not double the dose if it is already time for the next one.

Common side effects of Augpen-DS Suspension include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and allergic reactions. These usually subside on their own, but if they persist or become troublesome, consult your child’s doctor immediately.

Inform your doctor about your child’s complete medical history, including any past allergies, heart conditions, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung anomalies, gastrointestinal issues, skin conditions, liver problems, or kidney impairments. This will help the doctor determine the appropriate dosage and ensure safe and effective treatment.
