Metro Hospital and Heart Institute were established in the year 1997. It was founded by Dr. Purshotam Lal, a renowned cardiologist in India, with the vision of providing world-class healthcare services to the people of Noida and the surrounding areas. The hospital started as a 50-bed facility and has since expanded to a 400-bed multi-specialty hospital, with a team of over 200 doctors and 1500 healthcare professionals.

Dr. Purshotam Lal as Director, Interventional Cardiology and Chairman, of Metro Group of Hospitals has played a significant role in bringing Noida to the globe in the field of cardiology with its pioneering efforts on numerous procedures (eg: non-surgical replacement of aortic valves for the first time in the world, the concept of Metro Coronary Screening, multiple heart hole closure, etc.).
