Here’s what happened: the man had recently come back from the United Arab Emirates. A few days later, he got a fever and a rash that looked like chickenpox. His doctor thought something was strange, so they sent his samples for testing. And guess what? He tested positive for Mpox! Luckily, officials say the man is stable for now.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Mpox a public health emergency for the second time last month because of this exact strain. So, this is a pretty big deal! This shows that Mpox Virus spreading should not be taken lightly!
Interestingly, before this case, there was another person in Delhi who was suspected to have the infection, but that turned out to be a different type of Mpox called Clade II.
